Jakarta – Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University (Unusia) and the East Lampung Regency Government (Pemkab) have officially established a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) regarding the Lamtim Future Leader Scholarship Program and synergy of academic research studies for regional development.

The signing took place at the Jakoeb Oetama Hall on Tuesday (July 14th), marking a strategic step by both parties to expand access to higher education for the children of East Lampung while supporting human resource development and regional development.

The Acting Rector of Unusia, Dr. Syahrizal Syarief, MPH., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in Unusia by the East Lampung Regency Government as a partner in administering the scholarship program. He stated that this collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to opening access to higher education while strengthening cooperation between universities and the regional government.

"It is an honor for Unusia to have received the trust from the East Lampung Regency Government through this scholarship program. We hope this scholarship will benefit the students and that this collaboration can continue in the future," said Syahrizal.

Similarly, the Regent of East Lampung, Hj. Ela Siti Nuryamah, stated that the Lamtim Future Leader Scholarship Program was designed to provide opportunities for the children of East Lampung to pursue education in study programs not yet available in the region. Unusia was chosen as a partner because it offers a diverse selection of study programs and is considered capable of supporting the improvement of human resource quality.

"We planned this scholarship program to provide opportunities for the children of East Lampung to pursue education in majors not yet available in our region. Unusia was chosen because of its diverse study programs. We hope this scholarship will benefit the nation's future generations," said Ela.

Through the Lamtim Future Leader Scholarship Program, 25 children from East Lampung Regency will have the opportunity to pursue higher education at Unusia. This program is part of the regional government's efforts to improve the quality of human resources while strengthening academic collaboration with Unusia through various regional research and development activities.

This partnership is expected to be the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Unusia and the East Lampung Regency Government to develop a superior, competitive young generation capable of making a real contribution to the advancement of the region and the nation.
