Jakarta – The Psychology and Social Sciences Study Program (FIS) at Unusia held a Psychology Open House at the Jakoeb Oetama Hall, Unusia Jakarta, on Saturday (July 18th). The event, which ran from 9:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), was attended by more than 100 participants, including MA/SMA/SMK students, current students, alumni, and the general public. The Open House was held to introduce Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia University (Unusia), specifically the Psychology Study Program, while also providing education on issues relevant to the lives of adolescents.

The event opened with a speech by the Dean of Social Sciences, Naeni Amanulloh, followed by a lecturer from the Psychology Study Program, Devie Yundianto, and the Faculty's Executive Chair, Faizatul Muniroh. The event then included a socialization of Unusia's New Student Admissions (PMB) by Public Relations and a presentation on the Sociology Study Program by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Amsar. This provided participants with an overview of the study options and self-development opportunities available at Unusia.

As part of the Open House series, the Jakarta chapter of the Indonesian Young Community Empowerment Association (PKBI) presented an educational session titled "Teenager Puberty Goes to Campus Unusia." The material covered the changes that occur during puberty, the importance of maintaining reproductive hygiene, and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV. This education is expected to increase adolescents' understanding of reproductive health while encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

The Open House also featured a seminar titled "Psychology in the Digital Age," presented by Diana Maulidina, S.Psi. The seminar examined how psychology continues to evolve amidst the rapid advancement of digital technology. In addition to discussing the mental health challenges facing Generation Z, the material also highlighted opportunities for collaboration between psychologists and artificial intelligence (AI) to support more adaptive psychological services, even without human intervention.

During the event, the committee also announced the winners of the creative video competition, part of the Open House series.

Esty Arista Sari, a lecturer in the Psychology Study Program and committee advisor, stated that the Open House was held to introduce the Psychology, Sociology, and other study programs at Unusia, while also providing a more comprehensive understanding of the scope of psychology.

"We want the public to know that psychology is more than just the ability to read someone. Psychology has a very broad scope, ranging from mental health and clinical psychology to various scientific approaches that can be applied in everyday life. Through this Open House, we hope that more students will learn about Unusia and consider the Psychology Study Program as a choice for continuing their education," said Esty.

Through this Open House, the Psychology Study Program at Unusia Faculty of Social and Political Sciences hopes that more students will become aware of the quality of education, facilities, and various opportunities for self-development offered by Unusia. This activity is part of Unusia's commitment to providing education that is relevant to the needs of society and producing graduates who are able to make a real contribution to mental health and social welfare.
